Please join us for the Opening Party celebrating Henri Matisse: Jazz & Poetry on Paper
To kick off Henri Matisse: Jazz & Poetry on Paper, CMA Curator Catherine Walworth discusses the artist’s illustrated books, whose subjects varied from the mythical Minotaur to modern French poetry. Visitors to the exhibition will see these works of art from the 1930s and '40s that the artist created as printmaker and discover a kaleidoscope of music, poetry, and dance that informed the artist's modernism.
