Lumen printing is a contact printing process that uses photographic paper or film, organic material and sunlight. Workshop participants will be guided through the process and create their own prints using flora and fauna. Led by Kathleen Robbins, all supplies and equipment provided. Ages 15-adult.
Robbins earned a BA in Studio Art from Millsaps College and an MFA in Photography from the University of New Mexico. She currently serves as professor of art, coordinator of the photography program and affiliate faculty of southern studies at the University of South Carolina’s School of Visual Arts and Design. Robbins’ work has been featured in museums and galleries such as museums including The Halsey Institute of Contemporary Art, The New Orleans Photo Alliance, The Light Factory Museum of Contemporary Photography & Film, the Ogden Museum of Southern Art, Addison Gallery of American Art, The Southeast Museum of Photography, the Society for Contemporary Photography, the Mississippi Museum of Art, and the Columbia Museum of Art.
