Printmaking-Block Printed Textiles

In this one-day workshop, students will learn about relief printmaking techniques and how to design, carve, and hand-print their own textiles with linoleum stamps. Students will take inspiration from the prints in The Imaginative Worlds of M.C. Escher to create their own block printed tea towel, and leave with the knowledge necessary to continue their printmaking journey. Taught by printmaker Rachel Donnelly. Rachel earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Printmaking from the University of South Carolina and currently creates art in Charlotte, NC. Ages 15 and up. All supplies and equipment provided. Class registration limited to ten students to ensure physical distancing in the studios.
