This three-part painting class looks at the process of painting through several mediums. Students will use chalk pastel, acrylic paint, and oil paint to better understand color blending, brushwork, and glazing. Three pieces will be developed throughout the course using different subject matter. Taught by Laurel Archie, a professional painter and instructor who studied art in Chicago, Italy, and Paris before receiving her MFA from USC and teaching at their School of Visual Art and Design. All skill levels welcome, but some familiarity with drawing and painting will be helpful. Ages 15-adult, supplies and equipment provided.
