Dinner & Dialogue

This event is no longer on sale.

Sunday April 2

6:00 PM  –  8:30 PM

The evening will begin in the CMA Theater as panelists Imam Omar Shaheed of Masjid (Mosque) As-Salaam, educator, Afroz Habib, and Dr. Akif Aydin of the Atlantic Institute engage in dialogue with moderator and CMA Curator of Art & Learning Glenna Barlow about the significance of the holy month for Muslims across the world and the principles that it embodies.

Following the conversation, you will make our way to the Reception Gallery for an Iftar dinner. Before breaking fast, an activity of date-stuffing will be led by Omme-Salma Rahemtullah, after which a moment for prayer will be given to anyone who would like to pray. After sunset, a halal prepared meal will be served buffet style by Sahara Restaurant.

Registration covers the cost of dinner, date stuffing activity, lecture and access to open galleries.
