Build your own cigar box guitar in this two-day workshop with Anthony Walker of Southpaw Cigar Box Guitars. Walker crafts guitars using modern materials and techniques rooted in old blues traditions of creating musical instruments from available materials. Learn how to design your own headstocks, add your own artistic touch to the guitar body, then assemble and string your creation. Saws and drills are used during the class; experience helpful but not required. All materials and equipment provided, including supplies for painting and decoupage (self-supplied music magazines/books encouraged!). Ages 15 and up.
