Build your own cigar box guitar in this two-day workshop in celebration of the upcoming concert More Than Rhythm: A Black Music Series featuring Adia Victoria. Learn how to design your own headstocks and sound holes, plus assemble and string your creation. Taught by Anthony Walker of Southpaw Cigar box Guitars, who crafts guitars using modern materials and techniques rooted in old traditions of Blues music of creating musical instruments of whatever materials were available. Saws and drills used during the class – experience a plus but not required. All materials and equipment provided. Ages 15 and up.
